A wide variety of XML editors are available for use by CMS developers. Most are desktop authoring tools like Altova XMLSpy and BlastRadius XMetaL. But some specialize in "through-the-web" editing in a browser (Ektron, Ephox, and Xopus). Many of the desktop tools now offer some browser support, often with a plug-in for a single browser. Some try to deliver WYSIWYG ("what-you-see-is-what-you-get") editing.
